The Nexus Game

A simulation, offers a unique opportunity to explore the challenges of water manage-ment for energy and food production. Participants are put into the roles of key ministries of countries sharing the same river.

Field Trip: “Hands-On Experience with Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus Solutions”

The International Water Management Institute together with the National Research University “Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers“ (NRU TIIAME), will facilitate a field trip for participants to visit the experimental field (Suvchilar Maktabi) of the NRU TIIAME, located in Orta-Chirchik district, Tashkent province.

Movie night

We will screen the short documentary movie “At the bottom” (2022), directed by Ms. Tamara Kubaeva. Each year a group of volunteer divers organizes several expeditions to collect garbage from the bottom of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan.

Final discussion in the Format “Aquarium” / Open mic

During the dinner, we will hold a vibrant, spontaneous, and moderated discussion in an “Aquarium”/open-mic format. We will feature key speakers, one from each country participating in the conference, who are young leaders that have proven themselves in solving water problems at either the national or regional level.
